Takeoffs & estimating
Construction takeoffs
Builders, trades and suppliers send us plans, and we send back measured quantities by trade, by floor or by unit, ready for you to price. You keep your own rates; we do the measuring.
- Price
- From CA$195 per project, excl. GST/HST
- Turnaround
- 2 to 4 business days for most houses

- Drywall, framing and insulation
- Concrete, foundations and masonry
- Window, door and millwork counts
Why contractors outsource takeoffs
Measuring is the slow part of bidding. A contractor pricing several jobs a week can lose a day to each set of plans. We return measured quantities in a few days, marked up so you can check them, and you spend your time on the number and the client.
Units that suit the trade
Residential trades in Canada still price in square feet and linear feet, while many commercial drawings are metric. We measure in whichever units you bid in, and keep the drawing units alongside where they differ.
Questions we are asked
Do you price the work too?
A takeoff is quantities only. If you need a priced breakdown, see our construction estimating service.
What do you deliver?
A spreadsheet of quantities with marked-up PDF drawings. We can match your estimating template if you send it.
