An Australian building-industry studio working with the US

Founded in 2021, 3D Design Studios is an Australian company with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. We make renderings, CAD drawings, shop drawings and takeoffs for builders, contractors, designers, developers, product manufacturers and real estate agents, and our US clients work with us entirely online, from the plans they already have.

The studio grew out of a long building-industry career. Our founder, Anthony Milostic, had more than 25 years in the industry behind him before opening it, including over 17 years as a technical manager at James Hardie, where he wrote the ExoTec facade manual. It shows in the detail: our siding shop drawings and takeoffs are drawn the way the products really go up.

Working with the US

Sydney is 14 to 19 hours ahead of the mainland US, so plans you send at the end of your day move forward overnight. Quotes are in US dollars and fixed before we start, and calls happen early in your morning or late in your afternoon, when our days overlap.

Where our work stops

Our job is images, drawings and quantities. Licensed work stays with licensed people: we do not practice architecture, engineering or land surveying, we never stamp a drawing, and permit applications are filed by you or your designer. Most of our clients are the people who hold those licenses or hire them: architects, engineers, building designers, builders and developers.
