Staying on the right side of the rules
Virtual staging should show how a room could be furnished, not hide its condition. We never remove permanent features such as damp, cracks or views, and we recommend labelling staged photos as "virtually staged" on listings, in line with UK rules that property marketing must not mislead buyers.
Questions we are asked
Is virtual staging allowed on Rightmove and Zoopla?
Yes, as long as the photo is not misleading about the property. Label the images as virtually staged and keep the original photos in the listing.
Can you remove clutter from occupied homes?
Yes, we can tidy and declutter photos, but we do not remove anything that is part of the property or would affect a buyer's decision.
